in the name of Allah, the most gracious the most merciful.
Sometimes when we hate something, don’t throw them all away. Maybe some of them may benefit us.
Here is a story of mine. When I bought Doctor In The House from one of the bookstore, people were stare at me like I was doing something wrong.
Monologue:
“Perhaps a young man at my age is not suitable to read this book”
“Perhaps buying a thick and expensive book is something unusual for a young man at my age”
These monologues were keeping repeating until I heard a people commented about the book I bought. I will not right the comment here because it was a negative comment that insults the author of the book, (perhaps you can predict what it is).
In my point of view, I might agree with that negative comment in some circumstances but my point is:
If we hate a particular person, do we have to oppose all of his/her opinions?
Can’t we learn a good side of him/her?
Come on people, everybody is not perfect. All have their flaws. That is why Allah granted us ‘akal’ so that we can think. Think by the guidance of iman, not by the influence of our emotion.
So people, do you get what I mean?
Here I wanna share an article about jews that amazed me and I re-read it again and again whenever I feel down in my study.
Read it: why are jews so powerful?
Perhaps this is what Sheikh Muhammad Abduh means by saying:
When I went to Europe, I saw Islam but I didn’t see muslim but when I came back to Mesir, I see a lot of Muslim but not Islam.
That’s all from me.
